I’ve seen and experimented with many fake iPhones, dear reader. There are hundreds (if not thousands) of different iPhone replicas available for purchase out there on the Internet, and I’ve personally handled and tested well over two dozens of different Chinese iPhones. So, if you’re looking for some in-depth and unbiased fake iPhone reviews, I can confidently say you’ve come to the right place.

And to be honest, I should say that none of the dozens of fake iPhone models I’ve handled was a perfect replica, and none of them was nearly as good as the real iPhone. But some of them did came pretty close! Some of the fake iPhone models are actually pretty good smartphones on their own merit. In fact, some of them would probably do a lot better sales-wise if they weren’t sold as replicas.

Speaking of which, that’s something we should get straight right off the bat: never, ever purchase a fake iPhone with hopes that you’ll manage to pass it off as the real thing. If that’s your plan, you’ll only end up embarassing yourself. Sure, maybe your granpa won’t be able to tell the difference between a real iPhone and a replica, but trust me… anyone who has handled a real iPhone will easily be able to tell the difference.

In my opinion, there are essentially two valid reasons to go down the fake iPhone route: low cost and innovative features. All fake iPhones cost a fraction of the price of Apple’s original phone; and some of those Chinese iPhones actually offer some unique features that iPhone owners can only dream about for the time being (such as TV-tuner and dual SIM card support)

Of course, the extremely low cost is perhaps the strongest selling point: fake iPhones are generally sold for as low as $40, and as much as $150. In other words, even the fanciest and priciest replica iPhone only costs a fraction of the price of the real thing. So, if you’ve been thinking about getting a iPhone but you’re worried you’ll lose it or accidentally damage it… getting a replica iPhone will probably make you happier.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t quite enjoy the idea of walking around with a $600 piece of electronics in my pocket. Not that I’m afraid of getting mugged, but I’m just a little bit clumsy and occasionally absent-minded. I feel much better about the idea of getting a Chinese iPhone, and if for some reason I lose it or damage it I won’t feel nearly as bad about it! And I can easily get a replacement, whereas losing a real iPhone would severely dent my finances for the month.
